David Hathcox is a working photojournalist who has been based in the Washington, DC area since 1980. Prior to that he worked as chief photographer at daily Texas newspapers in Laredo and Paris. He earned an MA in Journalism/Photography at Texas A&M-Commerce, and a BA in Economics at Stephen F. Austin. Journalism experience teaches a photographer to think on his/her feet, to be ready for any situation, and to mingle with any crowd.
Since starting his photography business he has been providing photography that communicates for a wide variety of publications, institutions, corporations, and associations. This includes portraits of individuals and groups, meetings, hill visits and hearings, conferences, and association conventions. He is based in the DC area but travels widely throughout the US and Canada.
